Between this world and the next, in another realm of existence, is a place unlike any other. Runetol Academy, named for the nearby swamp, is home to some of the world's most talented students -- students that will never been seen by the human world as anything more than a myth or an abomination.
Here, worlds collide. Creatures from the human world, and every other world imaginable meet at Runetol Academy. And, for the most part, they are just like other teenagers.
They have sex, scandal, love and heartbreak. They wear their skirts a little too short. They break the rules. The only difference is that some of them have tails. Some of them have pointy ears. Some of them are dead. And, they have to face things that normal teenagers could never dream of. Assassins, kidnapping, battles that span the entire academy: being a student at Runetol is no piece of cake. And still, every year, students return and roam the halls. Teachers return to attempt to handle the unruly crowds.
